James Welburn grew up in York and started playing the piano at the age of seven. He studied music at City University and, as part of his degree, he studied piano performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
James composes for solo piano and has published Musical Escapades (2019) and Reflections in Waltz (2020) with Editions Musica Ferrum.
